Babe Ruth used to drink at the Chat while in Boston. Rumor has it, he did not throw his piano in the Sudbury River, but he threw it into Dudley Pond. Ted Williams favorite secret fishing hole was Dudley Pond, he had a home here during summers. Read about how some local cottages on the pond were brothels and the Chateau was a speakeasy during prohibition.
